Position Overview We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our EMEA network team. The Senior Network Engineer will be instrumental in designing, deploying, and maintaining our Cisco-based network environment, integrating advanced technologies such as VXLAN/EVPN, F5 load balancers, Checkpoint firewalls, and Juniper Junos. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of Cisco networking solutions along with a deep understanding of supplementary technologies to ensure the scalability, security, and optimal performance of our network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Network architecture and Deployment: Design, implement, and optimize of network architectures, incorporating Cisco VXLAN/EVPN, F5 load balancers, and Checkpoint firewalls. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions into the existing infrastructure. Ensure high availability, redundancy, and fault tolerance in all network components. Cisco Networking Expertise: Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and Cisco Nexus platforms. F5 Load Balancers: Configure, manage and optimize F5 load balancers to enhance application delivery and performance. Collaborate with application teams to implement load-balancing solutions tailored to specific application requirements. Checkpoint Firewalls: Design, deploy, and manage Checkpoint firewall solutions to safeguard the organization's network infrastructure. Implement and maintain firewall policies, rulesets, and access controls. Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Provide expert-level support to resolve complex network issues and incidents. Collaborate with IT support teams to address user-reported network problems. Be part of an on-call rotation system. Network Analysis and Reporting: Utilize network monitoring and analysis tools to generate reports on network performance and trends. Provide regular updates to management on the status of the network, including recommendations for improvements. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures. Develop and update network diagrams to reflect the current state of the infrastructure. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Cisco technologies. Extensive expertise in Cisco VXLAN/EVPN, F5 load balancers, Checkpoint firewalls, and Juniper Junos. Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent is highly desirable. F5 certifications (e.g., F5-CTS, F5-CA, etc.) or Checkpoint certifications are a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Familiar with change management and ITIL processes.
