Join our Security Team and become a key player in enhancing the security of software supply chains for numerous open source projects. In this impactful role, you will develop innovative technical solutions, build trusting relationships, and lead community initiatives to cultivate a culture of security among a global network of open source developers. Key Responsibilities Develop security tools : engineer advanced tools to fortify software supply chains, utilizing platforms such as GitHub and GitLab for automation and management. Automate best practices : streamline processes through automation to ensure security best practices are consistently applied across projects. Monitor progress : maintain a public dashboard to track and publicly report on security enhancements, keeping the community well-informed. Community engagement : produce engaging technical content and lead discussions to guide and inspire best security practices within the community. Leadership and collaboration : serve as a community leader, sharing knowledge and fostering growth within diverse teams Desired Qualifications Proven remote work ability : experience thriving in a remote-first environment. Technical skills : proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, or Rust; willingness to learn new languages. CI/CD expertise : solid experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins. Exceptional communication : strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English required. Open source passion : commitment to contributing to and growing within the open source community. Collaborative spirit : demonstrated ability to effectively engage with teams and articulate complex security topics clearly.
